What a wonderful bunch of entries we received for this quarter’s Award! The quality of submissions was exceptional, making the task of selecting a shortlist all the more difficult. Choosing a winner and runner-up won’t be any easier.
The shortlist features a wonderful range of pieces – both fiction and non-fiction – from writers, philosophers and poets. We appreciate the time each of you put into your writing and for those who didn’t make the shortlist this time around, we hope that you understand that the point of the competition is not to select a winner, but rather to engage you in the process of thinking critically about the topic.
Without further ado, I would like to announce this quarter’s shortlist:
Well done Angela Jones (Winner of Award II) for being selected in the shortlist for the fourth time in a row. We will announce the winner and runner-up next week, with both pieces to be published in issue #6 of New Philosopher magazine.
