***
6.30pm, Tuesday 25 June 2013 (usually every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month)
We’ll start just after 6.30pm, and continue till 8pm-8.30pm. Format is usually: short speech, then two or three rounds of discussion, with breaks in-between. Often we’ll go to dinner afterwards. Participants are welcome to come or to leave at any point during the evening.
For any last-minute problems, feel free to give me a call or an SMS on 0400-200-068.
Incidentally, anyone is welcome to present on any topic related to philosophy (just let me know, and I’ll book you in).
I’ll auto-send a reminder a week and a day beforehand, so apologies in advance for the spam.
No cost. No reading required beforehand. All welcome!
Location: members bar, floor 1 (keep winding up to the top of the stairs), The Gaelic Club, 64 Devonshire Street, Surry Hills, Sydney (100 metres from a Central railway station exit). Note: not the Gaelic Hotel, which is next door — look for the long staircase from street level instead. We’ll be armed with the Oxford Companion to Philosophy and a bell. Usually we meet ***out on the terrace*** (or ask at the bar if you’re not sure). Usually a small group — half a dozen to a dozen people sitting in a circle.
